Niall Hackett

Originally from Dublin city, bouzouki and concertina player Niall Hackett now lives and works in the Donegal Gaeltacht of Gaoth Dobhair. A music teacher and sound engineer specialising in live acoustic sound, he has composed music for radio drama, documentary and film.

A member of experimental music group Árchú and a collaborator with celebrated sean-nós singer Doimnic Mac Giolla Bhríde on his Saol na Suailce project, Niall will be Ireland’s first bouzouki-playing ‘ladybird’ in Doimnic’s forthcoming children’s songbook.
