Roll up, roll up! The Mummers Ball is in town for one day only to wrap up the Séan Corcoran Series in style. 

Join celebrated dancer Edwina Guckian and the Stray Sod Céilí Band of Ultan O’Brien, Sárán Mulligan, Libby McCrohan and others – for this ‘called céilí’ where upon arrival attendess can choose a costume to wear from the mummers hats and garb we have prepared for you.  Show up, dress up, and dance till the sparks fly from the floor of the Old Methodist Church. 

No dancing experience necessary. Suitable for adults and children of all ages.

Edwina Guckian is a dancer, choreographer, filmmaker, publisher, farmer and community activist, from county Leitrim; a terrain and community that strongly informed her unique style of Sean Nós dance from an early age. 

Founder and Artistic Director of Áirc Damhsa Culture Club and the Leitrim Dance Project – recent work has included the 2024 publication of her first children’s book, Sparks from the Flagstones:  Irish Folk Traditions & Calendar Customs and in 2025 her ‘The Devil’s in the Dance Hall’ Markievicz award project. 

In May 2025 Edwina will launch Sclimpíní – commission by Luail Dance Company and created in collaboration with Mikel Mufi featuring Ultan Ó Brien, Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin, Stephanie Keane, Laoise Kelly and Becky Ní Éallaithe. 

Edwina is a board member of the Irish Traditional Music Archive and Dance Deputy for the West of Ireland at Luail – Ireland’s National Dance Company.
